Selecting the correct creasing matrix
 |
- Firstly measure the board thickness 'C' - up to 700 gsm
- Multiply the thickness 'C' by 1.5.
- Add on the crease rule thickness 'D' (see table below).
- This will give you measurement 'B'.
- Find the correct width of MATRIX closest to measurement 'B'.
- Measurement 'A' should be equivalent to the thickness 'C', though it may need adjusting with rule height.
|
 |
- Firstly measure the compressed thickness of the board 'E'
- Multiply the thickness 'E' by 2.
- Add on the crease rule thickness 'D'.
- This will give you measurement 'B'.
- Find the correct width of MATRIX closest to measurement 'B'.
- Measurement 'A' should be equivalent to the thickness 'E', though it may need adjusting with rule height.
|
 |
- Firstly measure the width required between creases from centre to centre (Z).
- Subtract the rule width (see table below).
- This will give the measurement 'Y'. Choose the matrix closest to this.
- To calculate measurement 'X', multiply the board thickness 'C' by 1.5
- Take this measurement away from 'Y' to derive the matrix size closest to.
|
 |
- Follow steps 1-3, as shown above for solid board to calculate measurement 'Y'.
- To calculate the measurement 'X', firstly measure the board thickness 'E', and multiply x 2.0.
- Take this away from measurement 'Y' to derive the matrix size closest to.
